It was a very busy Bank Holiday Weekend! Why? Well Bristol held a HUGE foodie celebration across the city. Bristol Food Connections is a city wide festival celebrating all things food. Venues include Waterfront Square, Anchor Square, Millennium Square, College Green and a very exciting tipi village in Queens Square.
Top chefs including Jamie Oliver, Raymond Blanc, and the very popular Mary Berry presented awards, and the food… well the list is absolutely astonishing. Fish baking, wine tasting, fast food, slow cooked food, picnic food, local food, Edible Bristol – whose goal is to turn Bristol into the UK’s first edible city, healthy and sustainable food and so this list goes on.
From farmer’s markets and local shops to BBC food, independent restaurants, growers, bakeries, butchers and bloggers – there is SO much going on that it really does deserve to be celebrated.
In fact around 175,000 people will have visited this unique festival in the City of Bristol over the next couple of weeks. There is stunning food on offer here, so come along – before its all gone!
